QMSE Leadership, including PI of the NRT grant Sohrab Ismail-Beigi, Program Coordinator Emma Carley, and PhD students Jake Kovalic and Krishnaa Vadivel, attended the 2024 NSF National Research Traineeship (NRT) Annual Meeting. This meeting, held in Alexandria, VA from October 21-23, brought together faculty, program coordinators, evaluators, and students from all active NRT projects to discuss thier research and approaches to their NRT program. Emma presented a poster on the QMSE program, and Jake presented a poster on his thesis research. Sohrab, Jake, and Krishnaa attended a sattlite meeting of Quantum NRT programs, held after the main NRT meeting from October 23-24, where they discussed best practices in teaching Quantum Science to PhD students.
